Yamaha Reface Rotary Switch Controllers |

The rotary speaker sound is used by organists and made famous by Leslie with a speaker that actually was rotary - it span around giving a subtle 'wah' or doppler type effect. The Yamaha Reface YC recreates this sound and has a rocker switch to control the effect, but for many players, flicking that switch during playing can be tricky - so operating it from a foot pedal is an easy way around this. Ambient Power have multiple versions of such a switch, the most recent (and popular) being the AP113P. Be like a 'real' organist and change the rotary sound mid song! Three versions are available: AP113 which controls the rotary effect on the Yamaha Reface YC from a traditional toggle switch position. The unit is mounted on the left of the keyboard with tape and sends MIDI commands to control the effect. Slow/Stop/Fast are selected from three positions. Plugs into the 6 pin Mini-DIN MIDI socket on the Reface, requires no external power. AP113P is made in a metal footswitch with a 2M cable allowing control from the floor. Rotary effect is fast when pressed, slow when released - or can be configured as a tap for fast/tap again for slow operation. AP113P V2 is of plastic construction, but adds another feature to switch the rotary mode to STOP. A further V2 variant (AP113P-TM V2) has an almost silent switch avoiding the clicking from the footswitch itself. The legacy products are the AP113 and AP080. The AP113 is manufactured in a 3D printed case, expect a few imperfections from printing, but designed to match the aesthetics of the Yamaha Reface YC. The AP080 has two configurable modes for the YC, it allows the rotary sound effect of the keyboard to be controlled via two footswitches. One controls fast/slow, the other stop and off. Connect a standard guitar pedal type power supply and connect to your Reface with a MIDI cable. All units are available on eBay to purchase with global shipping options. Search on your local eBay site for the product number - e.g. AP113P.
